Seeing as they were recording and filming there would seem to be no excuse for the set to be missing ... is any of it on the Soundtrack?

The set is there, it's just completely distorted.
Check out this version, which is streamable:

@Sambonk2... yes, but why THIS show, so strongly in particular? The other shows seem fine.

Wasn't that always going on, though?
Probably is the answer, but, man, they really blew it.

I read a interview with phil about this.He said the crew really dropped the ball on this.
It was painstaking going back to the masters and getting something listenable...

there is a pretty good AUD on the org.from 10/16...somewhat booomy, but a very good presentation of that old crumbling hall

Do you know which interview it was?
I'd like to write a little about this "retirement"...

As I have noted ad nauseum, I got to go to the Friday and Saturday shows and missed out on getting tiks to this one. I'm still convinced I saw the two best out of the run and I never thought the last one was even close. Just one opinion.

Yes, I've long preferred 10/18 the most out of the run. 10/19 is superior to 10/20, but I wonder if we had better sources if we'd still think that?

For me probably not. I'm now attached. :)

I did once have a tape of 10/20 but I can't recall the completeness of it. I do recall feeling like the last night was just too emotional to elicit the highest playing. As you noted, who knows.
